What is your greatest extravagance?
WBH: Family, good friends, good coffee, good wine, and good olive oil.
When and where were you happiest?
WBH: With my family on holiday in Sicily last summer. After so much disruption and disappointment over the past few years, I had a much greater appreciation of being able to travel and the magic of discovering new places together.
What is your most treasured possession?
WBH: A gold coin necklace of my Mom’s that was given to her by my Dad before they were married.
Who is your fiction hero?
WBH: I have always been drawn to Jane Eyre, as she is independent, fearless, and transgressive in pushing boundaries expected of Victorian Women.
What is your motto?
WBH: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
And of course: What is your favourite flower for Valentine’s Day?!
WBH: I’m a romantic at heart, so I would have to say roses, although they could be pink, red, or white!
