Running Strong for American Indian Youth is a non-profit organization that was co-founded by Olympic Gold Medalist Billy Mills. Running Strong operates with the mission to help Native American people meet their immediate survival needs – food, water, and shelter – while implementing and supporting programs designed to create opportunities for self-sufficiency and self-esteem.
With a focus on youth programs to foster change across age groups and communities, and a commitment to being a Native American-led charity, dedicated to preserving the traditions, languages, and sanctity of Native American communities, Running Strong comes into communities and listens to what they need most, and works tirelessly to address and solve these needs and issues.
