Masala y Maíz is a restaurant in Mexico City from chefs Norma Listman and Saqib Keval that explores the migration of ingredients and cooking techniques between India, East Africa, and Mexico. Their seasonally changing menu (with an emphasis on organic, local, and sustainable) is based on years of research and study of both their family recipes, as well as the movement of ingredients between three continents. A testament to positive change, Masala y Maíz also host private dinners, cooking classes, and lectures to reflect the belief that the power of food can be a tool for positive environmental and social justice.
