MARK ROTHKO OPENING IN PARIS AT FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
On the 17th of October during Paris art week, Entourage Collection were honored to host clients, collectors, and friends at an exclusive preview of the Mark Rothko show at Fondation Louis Vuitton, with a private tour by the artist’s son, Christopher Rothko, who curated the retrospective.
The exhibition, the first retrospective in France dedicated to Mark Rothko since 1999, brings together 115 works, from well-known institutions as well as from private and University collections and from the artist’s private, family collection. Displayed chronologically, the exhibition traces Rothko’s entire career, from his earliest figurative paintings to the abstract works that he is most known for today. The preview was truly a priceless experience with incredible insight, history, and stories provided by Christopher, and the absolute “highlight” of Paris art week, as said by many of our guests.
