Dior at Alto, Selfridges, 400 Oxford St, London W1C 1JS
Dior has brought the Côte d'Azur to London - with a dose of la dolce vita thrown in for good measure - by way of a fabulous new rooftop pop-up.
The Dioriviera space is situated on the rooftop of shopping heaven Selfridges, overlooking the once-more buzzing city centre, and features a breezy, seaside-inspired restaurant named Dior at Alto (a Dior-ified version of the existing Alto by San Carlo) with a menu specially curated by the fashion house, including some of Monsieur Dior's favourite dishes. The accompanying cocktail menu also features drinks renamed in tribute to Dior history, with elixirs specially concocted for the temporary restaurant.
The space was inspired by the uplifting, acidic colours found in Maria Grazia Chiuri's latest Dioriviera capsule collection (also available to shop in the pop-up boutique), with the brand's instantly recognisable toile de Jouy print adorning walls, ceilings and soft furnishings. From 1 August, the pop-up shop will transform into a rooftop bar for two months, allowing customers to soak up the last of the summer with a drink in hand.
